Films at PhxArt: Do the Right Thing

Spike Lee’s 1989 landmark film Do the Right Thing captures a single sweltering summer day in Brooklyn's Bed-Stuy neighborhood, where casual neighborhood interactions gradually give way to escalating racial tensions and violence. Driven by an unforgettable ensemble cast and the iconic beats of Public Enemy's "Fight the Power," this politically charged masterpiece remains as vital, relevant, and emotionally striking today as when it first premiered.
