Dessert in the Desert: Owls in the McDowells

"Dessert in the Desert" is a new interactive series at the Adero Canyon Trailhead that invites families to bring a snack and learn about the unique wonders of the Sonoran Desert. Led by naturalist Lisa Miller, this session features an engaging presentation on the traits and diverse species of owls found within the Preserve, with audience participation highly encouraged.
